How to care for your bouquet until you send it to Kowhai Lane
*If you have extra flowers aside from the bouquet, feel free to send this along as well.
To keep your bouquet looking fresh until you send it to us, please do the following:
Step One: Cut Stems + Hydrate

a) Cut each stem around 2cm from the bottom on an angle
*This gives the flowers access to more water
b) Place into a vase with cold-room temp water (not ice cold)
c) Place vase in a cool room with no direct sunlight on the bouquet
*If you have not sent the bouquet off within 2 days after your event make sure to change the water in the vase every second day
Step Two: Package

a) Wrap your bouquet in paper towels, and prepare a glass/vase with water

b) Wet your paper towel thoroughly

d) Place a yoghurt container (or similar) into a small box, acting as a temporary vase

e) Place the bouquet into the yoghurt tub and fill any excess space around the tub with scrunched paper (newspaper/packaging paper)

f) Fill a large box with scrunched paper leaving an area in the centre for the smaller box to sit nicely nested into

g) Place smaller box with bouquet into the large box

h) Add any extra paper around the open areas to protect the bouquet from moving as much as possible
c) Wrap the paper towel with a ziplock bag (this locks in moisture while it's being shipped)
